It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Miss Mia, a loyal and cherished companion, who left us on March 29, 2025, at the remarkable age of 19. Mia was more than a pet—she was family, a source of endless joy, and a steadfast friend whose wagging tail and gentle spirit brightened every day for nearly two decades.

Miss Mia came into our lives with boundless energy and a heart full of love. With her soft fur, soulful eyes, and gentle demeanor, she quickly claimed her place as the heartbeat of our home. Whether curling up for a nap in the sun or greeting us with her signature enthusiastic welcome, Mia had a way of making every moment special—often punctuated by her infamous, room-clearing farts that became a quirky hallmark of her charm. Her unwavering loyalty and quiet understanding brought comfort through life’s highs and lows, a gift she shared with us for 19 beautiful years.

Mia’s favorite things included long walks where she’d sniff every corner of the world, treats she enjoyed with a wagging tail and a gleam in her eye, and, above all, belly rubs—oh, how she adored those belly rubs! She’d roll over with a contented sigh, eyes half-closed in bliss, soaking in every second of affection, sometimes letting out a little toot as she relaxed. But nothing brought her more peace than her beloved bed, which she’d meticulously move around—nudging and pawing it into just the right spot—before settling in with a happy huff, sinking into its comfort like it was made just for her. Cozy evenings spent by our side were her specialty, and she had a knack for knowing when a hug—or a nudge—was needed, filling our lives with warmth, laughter, and the occasional whiff.

Though her paw prints are no longer beside us, Miss Mia leaves behind a legacy of love that will never fade. She is survived by her adoring family, who will forever miss her gentle snores, her quiet presence, her symphony of farts, and the unconditional love she gave so freely for 19 extraordinary years.

Rest easy, sweet Mia. Run free across the rainbow bridge, where the fields are endless, the treats are abundant, the beds are just as cozy as yours (and perfectly adjustable), and the belly rubs never stop—hopefully with a breeze to carry your little gifts away. You were a gift, a treasure, and a once-in-a-lifetime companion. Until we meet again, you’ll live on in every memory and every heartbeat.
